Quonset Models
Steel Domes has a range of Quonset hut buildings that are available in a standard kit form.
These designs can also be ordered with custom components added such as window and roller doors.
Standard Features For Steel Domes:

Q - Model
When most people think of the Quonset hut, they picture the classic Q - Model. It’s the strongest structure on the market.
The classic semi-circular structure became popular during World War II. These
all-purpose buildings were used as barracks, latrines, offices, medical facilities, military housing and more.
Since then, the “Q” uses include agricultural and heavy equipment storage, airplane
hangars, and many other custom designs. Additionally, this model is the most popular model for Quonset hut homes.
A - Model
The A - Model combines usable space,
durability and a traditional barn gable
appearance.
While the A - Model also has a 1:3 pitch roof line, it differs from the ‘X’ by having straight walls.
The straight walls allow for easy palletizing and shelf or storage space. This model is popular for warehouse and workshops
S - Model
With straight sidewalls and a rounded roof line, the S - Model is popular for Garages and Storage.
Similar to the Q - Model, the round roof will deflect wind and snow. The straight walls and higher roof make it easy for a second story to be constructed.
The rounded roof line provieds plenty of
overhead space for taller items and/or equipment, and the straight sidewalls allow for maximum storage and workshops.
X - Model
The X - Model is popular among people looking for protective shelters for their
investments.
The X - Model is best for areas with heavy wind loads due to its 3:1 pitched roof line which makes deflects wind and high rainfalls.
The model is also perfect for garages, workshops and storage buildings.
